SMART PORT SOLUTION OVERVIEW

Smart Port is a harbor traffic-flow management solution for pre-check in, check-in, and lane management, which is suitable for ports with multiple ferry operators. The goal is to minimize the time spent in the harbor by providing a fully integrated, easy to understand service for travelers with vehicles and cargo trucks.

NEEDS OF FERRY OPERATORS

The main wish of ferry operators is to serve as many passengers and goods as possible. The faster the ferries are loaded, the more frequent the ferry operators can make their scheduled traffic. Advantage of the solution is by implementing an automatic check-in system, you see the reduction in waiting time and improvement of travel ecperience by passengers. You also get a reduction in loading time of ferries. Automated laser dimensions measurement and no-stop weighing systems allow you to exactly plan your loading process.

OUR LED DISPLAYS AS PART OF THE SOLUTION

Our displays in cooperation with our in-house developed software are taking care of displaying the software output into the displays. Driving instructions and information is shown on displays, which are specially designed for port conditions. To guide the vehicles, the Port Intelligent Transport System (ITS) solution is used that manages the barriers and guarantees that hazardous incidents will not happen on the movement area.

INTEGRATIONS

At Port of Tallinn, Estonia our displays are conected to a Nortal AS software and gets inputs from there. Our communication protocol is developed in a way that the integrations are simple and seamless. Therefore are possible to integrate virtually any other software or controllers.
