The challenge
The problem to solve
A sheet metal manufacturing facility with high daily truck traffic had drivers arriving without knowing their allocated time slot or which gate to use. Trucks were parking randomly around the building, causing congestion. The customer built internal software to manage truck scheduling and needed outdoor displays to relay that information to drivers on arrival.
The solution
What Ampron delivered
Two Ampron outdoor LED message boards were installed outside the facility. The customer's truck management software pushes gate assignment and time slot data to each display via the Ampron REST API. Drivers see their instructions clearly from the parking area and can proceed directly to the correct gate without dismounting or asking facility staff.
Unguided trucks circling a production facility add an estimated 10–15 minutes per visit. At 30+ trucks per day, eliminating random parking recovers 5–7 hours of lost vehicle time every working day — with no additional staffing cost.
