Real-Time Traffic Guidance at the Port of Kunda
The challenge
The problem to solve
Waybiller's logistics platform at the Port of Kunda combines automatic license plate recognition, vehicle weighing and instruction forwarding. Drivers arriving at the weighbridge needed to see their weight result and unloading zone assignment instantly — from the cab, without radio calls or manual paperwork. The display had to integrate directly with Waybiller's backend with no custom middleware.
The solution
What Ampron delivered
A compact Ampron DS-320×320 outdoor LED display was installed directly at the weighbridge. Waybiller's platform pushes real-time data to the display via the Ampron REST API on each weighing event — showing the vehicle number, gross and net weight, and location-specific instructions such as unloading zone or warehouse number. No proprietary firmware or locked integration layer was required.
A weighbridge with manual radio communication typically adds 5–10 minutes to each truck's transit time. At 200+ trucks per day, eliminating radio calls saves an estimated 20+ operator hours every week — time reallocated from routine coordination to exception handling.
