The challenge

The problem to solve

GoSwift's border queue management platform electronically queues trucks approaching border crossings, eliminating physical queues that can stretch for kilometres and cost operators and drivers hours of delay. For the Vaalimaa crossing on the Finnish-Russian border, GoSwift needed LED message boards at the truck parking area to surface queue slot assignments and border crossing instructions to drivers — weatherproof, high-brightness and seamlessly integrated with the GoSwift backend.

The solution

What Ampron delivered

Ampron supplied 30 DR-2000×1040-P8 rugged outdoor message boards and 2 large OutDoor P10 displays (2×3 metres) for the Vaalimaa site. All displays integrate directly with GoSwift's queue management platform. Integration uses Ampron's software communication protocol — GoSwift's platform pushes queue slot data and crossing instructions directly to each display at the point where drivers need to act. Hardware is IP65-rated for all-year Finnish outdoor conditions.

Outcomes

Results

  • 30 DR-2000×1040 and 2 OutDoor P10 displays operational at Vaalimaa since 2015
  • Queue slot assignments and crossing instructions delivered automatically from GoSwift platform
  • No radio calls or manual communication required for driver instructions at parking area
  • Hardware proven in Finnish outdoor conditions across full four-season cycle
