Ports
LED Guidance Displays for Tallink Silja Passengers at Port of Turku
The challenge
The problem to solve
Port of Turku handles over four million passengers and four million tonnes of cargo annually. Tallink Silja ferry passengers and truck drivers approaching the ferry needed dynamic last-mile wayfinding — showing operator branding, gate numbers and lane assignments at the right point in their approach. Static signs were inadequate for the changing operational requirements of a busy multi-operator port.
The solution
What Ampron delivered
Ampron delivered DR-2000×1040 rugged LED message boards — our largest rugged model — to Port of Turku via Finnish distributor OEM Finland Oy. Port operations staff manage content through video signage software. The displays handle last-mile wayfinding for both truck drivers and foot passengers approaching Tallink Silja ferries. The hardware is IP65-rated and IK08-impact-resistant for the harsh Nordic port environment.
