Outdoor Sports Timing Display
LED starting-clock built for the field. Runs on a car battery, controlled from the head judge's phone.
A configure-to-order LED starting-clock display, built to run all day on a car battery from the far side of a lake, and controlled from the head judge's phone over WiFi. Ampron-built hardware — IP65 DS-family panel, C16L controller, RUT-class router — already fielded at UIM-level competition.

Where it fits
Outdoor sports where the official has to place a display far from mains power — over water, at a rowing start, at a rally stage, on a triathlon course — and control it remotely. Where a general LED sign is either too big, too dim, too dependent on mains, or too clumsy to configure live.
Best for
- Powerboat, rowing, triathlon and motorsport starts
- Off-mains installations — floating platforms, remote start gates, forest stages
- Officials who need to control the display live from a phone
- Federations that want one system to survive a full season
Not ideal for
- Indoor arena scoreboards — use DS Series direct
- Advertising panels or fan-facing video
- Environments where you already have mains and a wired console
Two days, 22 starts, no interruption.
First real-world deployment: an F500 European Championship in 2026. The panel sat on a floating platform around 100 m from shore, powered from a single 80 Ah car battery, controlled from the head judge's phone over WiFi. The battery held for a full session under a hard RGB stress test.
"Brighter than the old start-clock. Genuinely sharp on the time-over moment." Competitor feedback, F500 European Championship 2026

No separate console. No installer.
A single-page web app that runs on the head judge's phone, tablet or laptop. Connect the panel to a 12 V battery, open the URL, and control everything from there.
- START — Triggers the countdown sequence — 60 s → 30 s → 30 s → red hold → clear.
- Flags — Red, green, yellow — one tap, no confirmation.
- Class icons — F500, F125, F2, F4, GT30, GT15, OSY400 — one tap.
- Checkered flag — Animation on finish.
- Confirmation modal — Only where mis-firing matters — on START.
The sequence is programmed to UIM rules and can be changed live from the UI as officiating requires.
